Another successful season for our teams in the Bolton League has come to an end. We added extra men’s and mixed teams to give more members than ever the chance to play competitive tennis, and everyone rose to the challenge.
Top billing goes to our men’s C team, who won Division 4 without losing a match, and our mixed D team, who won Division 5. Meanwhile, our mixed A and ladies’ A teams were both runners-up in Division 1, while our youngest team, our junior C team, finished a brilliant second in Division 3 in their first season despite being five or six years younger than a lot of the players they were up against.
All these teams collected prizes at the Bolton League presentation night, with a number of other teams just missing out. We may well have more to celebrate, with both our teams top of their respective divisions in the Manchester League, while the Bolton Winter League begins this week.
