What a great time we had celebrating our 100th birthday. A packed programme started off with a centenary mixed doubles tournament, where the age of each pair had to add up to at least 100. The full spectrum of the club was on show with players from 17 to 91!
A family tournament saw youngsters compete alongside a family member or friend, while everyone was welcome in our inaugural one-point slam – a single point per match, no second chances.
With cakes, a BBQ and music – and a sneak peek of our new padel courts – it was fantastic to celebrate such a huge milestone with so many members past and present. Thanks very much to the organisers for all their hard work and here’s to the next 100 years!
